Workforce Training for Economic Justice
Skills-based Training for a 21st century workforce is essential if the fruits of science, technology and innovation are to be activated to solve local problems such as pollution, climate change and dredging. VESF is committed to “skills acceleration training” for local waterman to enhance the entry of the local workforce into emerging careers in environmental remediation, water resource management, and eroding shoreline restoration. Such training must be done in partnership with local business, industry and community leaders and focused on the critical and time sensitive issues of today.
