We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of David M. Schulte, PhD, on Friday, August 22, 2025. Dave was a leader in the study and effects of climate change and erosion on Tangier Island and the Chesapeake Bay and a valued member of our team . Dave was dedicated to the preservation of natural and native species of the Chesapeake Bay and a proponent of regenerating the Bay’s oyster population through innovative programs to support the Bay’s entire ecosystem.
